At UK Structures Ltd, we are passionate about timber frames. We firmly believe it’s the future of a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to construction.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality timber frame construction alongside first-class customer service to create beautiful, timeless structures that will last a lifetime.
The company was formed in 2020 by Jason Arnould following 18 successful years in the construction industry. During his career, Jason had built up an extensive network of contacts and knowledge from providing carpentry and timber frame installation services to some of the biggest trade timber frame suppliers in Southeast England. Recognising a growing demand for sustainable timber frame-building methods, Jason formed his own company to offer bespoke timber frame design, supply and installation packages to self-builders, contractors and developers.
The company has since expanded to include Contracts Manager Kevin May and Commercial Manager Ashley Green. Kevin and Ashley have over 40 years of combined knowledge and experience in timber frame construction, having worked for some of the leading timber frame companies in the Southeast.
Together, our team has a proven track record for delivering many small and large-scale timber frame projects, from self-build homes and multi-plot developments to blocks of flats and hotels. We are committed to providing exceptional service to every customer by offering the best advice and solutions tailored to every building project’s individual needs.

Jason Arnould
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Jason started working in the timber frame industry as an on-site labourer in 1994,
working his way through the ranks before leading his own team of installers/Carpenters.
Jason travelled throughout the UK, including 18 months in Scotland, refining his trade installing timber frame houses, Travelodge’s and premier Inns for some the biggest timber frame companies in the country. He went on to start his own business, A&H Timber Frame in 2004, providing carpentry services to a number of timber frame manufacturers, which was re-branded in 2013 to Fine Carpentry and still provides carpentry services today along side UK Structures Ltd.
In 2020 Jason formed UK Structures to design, supply and install timber frame structures. The business continues to go from strength to strength with an expanding client base and an excellent team determined to offer a quality and friendly and personal service from start to finish.
Ashley Green
COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Ashley joined UK Structures in September 2022 after working for a Southeast based timber frame company for the previous 17 years.
Ashley started on the factory floor making timber frame panels, working his way through the ranks to lead a team of 60 staff for a £9m timber frame business, overseeing all departments including design, production and site operations.
Ashley has joined the UK Structures team to look after the commercial dealings of the business, overseeing business development, sales and compliance.
In his spare time Ash enjoys days out with his wife and two children. He’s a keen cyclist and although he no longer plays, enjoys keeping up to date with the latest football news, especially his hometown club Ipswich Town FC!
Kevin May
CONTRACTS MANAGER
Kevin has 42 years of experience in the building industry. He started work with a small family run building company working on small developments and extensions before moving on to work as a self-employed carpenter, providing 1st and 2nd fix carpentry services to some of the big housebuilders including persimmon and Hopkins Homes.
Kevin has now been involved in the timber frame industry for the last 25 years, initially as an installer working on site as a team leader and more recently as a Contracts Manager for a large timber frame company based in the Southeast.
Kevin joined UK Structures in 2022 as Contracts Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience not only in timber frame Construction, but also invaluable knowledge of building in general, helping us liaise with other trades to ensure a seamless process on site.
